Bio

Hi! My name is Yevhen. I am one of the founders of CrossWatch and work as a software engineer. In CrossWatch, I am mostly busy with tech stuff, managing infrastructure, working on new features, and fixing bugs. I do write articles, mostly crossplay investigation pages, but also sometimes write news about games we already have. I have played video games since childhood, and one of the first games I ever played was Quake 2 in the computer club, and as you might suspect, I grew up playing shooters :) Now, with not having enough time, I mostly play single-player games on my PlayStation.

Battlefield 6 secure boot and 300k of stopped cheat attempts in open beta

A few days ago, we received an update from the EA Anticheat Team regarding cheating in the Battlefield 6 open beta. As they mentioned, their Anti-Cheat System had already stopped many cheat attempts, and they also explained the reason why the game requires a security boot.

This battlefield is really special, at least because of studio efforts, to involve as much as possible the core audience. We have already had closed betas this year, and at the start of August, we will have an open beta for all players who want to try the new battlefield.

Battlefield 6 maps on the release

On the release of Battlefield 6, we will have 9 maps and 5 theaters of war. What is more important is that all maps are created by hand, so the level of detail should be noticeable, and what is also important level of destruction too.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Third-Person and New Game+ Update

On December 5, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will recieve a new update that brings the ability to play from a third-party view and a new game + mode.

Ready Or Not is releasing on consoles July 15, 2025 with full cross-play support

Soon, we will have one of the best tactical shooter games on consoles with full cross-play support. With full cross-play support, you will be able to play together no matter the platform you and your friends use, is it's PlayStation 5, Xbox X|S, or PC, it won't matter at all.

Helldivers 2 is coming to Xbox on Augst 26, 2025

It is already officially confirmed that Helldivers 2 is going to be released this year (August 26, 2025). What is also not less important, we'll get full cross-play between all current platforms HellDivers 2 is available on, which are: Xbox X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Battle Pass: Phantom Tracker's Star

The update for Throne And Liberty introduces the "Battle Pass: Phantom Tracker's Star," featuring exclusive rewards such as the Phantom Tracker outfit and various emotes. Players can engage in seasonal challenges to earn rewards through both a free and a premium track, which requires Lucent currency. This in-game update introduces new challenges as the Illuminate, ancient aliens equipped with advanced technology, launch another offensive against humanity. Operation: Resurgence - Global Crossplay available

This update introduces global crossplay on all supported platforms, letting you and your friends play together no matter what platform you're on. It also includes new weapons, a limited-time Skirmish mode, free cosmetic content, and updates.

Future Roadmap for 2025

We all love watching these little cuties not only annihilate their own kind but also work for you like overworked *** in phone factories. And while a lawsuit from Nintendo loomed over the game for a while, it seems like the developers managed to handle it. Now, we finally have some news about their future plans for 2025!

No more cheater, but only for console rank

Cheaters in multiplayer games are a big problem. They ruin the fun and make players angry. Because of this, many people avoid playing on PC and choose consoles instead. In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, players could not turn off crossplay, which upset many console players. They didn’t want to play with PC players because of cheaters. It felt unfair not to have control over this choice. But now, thanks to the new community update, console players will be able to turn off crossplay in ranked matches.
