Update 18 is the first part of two significant updates, which bring many changes to balancing, core mechanics, visuals, VFX, and a rework of the Stalingrad map.
These changes are the most important because they change the core mechanics and bring new ones. To make it easier, we will show them as a list:
Tank physics: collisions and terrain impact are more realistic;
Terrain modifiers: different types of terrrains, for example, sand, snow, and mud, will have different impacts on vehicles;
Contextual repairs: you can decide what part of the tank repair to do first;
Heavy tank limits: only two tanks per team with longer cooldown;
Salvage system: destroyed tanks can be salvaged for resources;
Vehicle cosmetics: tanks can now equip visual skins using the customization system;
Stalingrad rework
One of the most disliked map by our team (because we also are Hell Let Loose fans) Stalingrad got a rework, and we hope it will bring new life to this map, with the changes we will have:
Spawn points rework and capture zones locations;
Better terrain and visuals;
Expanded trench lines
New Commander Ability
The commander now has access to a a new ability called "Artillery Strike," which allows placing up to three artillery clusters on the map per turn
Quality of Life
We also got some changes to make the game more friendly:
Admins can now view both teams on the tactical map;
Squads can be set to invite-only locked units;
Adjustable ADS Field of View (FOV);
Support players can pick up and relocate supply boxes;
New Killed in Action and Redeployment screens;
New network indicators for latency and packet loss;
Added enemy supply marker and improved vehicle explosion effects;
Dynamic weather now affects El Alamein (sandstorms) and Driel (rain and lightning);
