Description
Call of Duty: Vanguard is a first-person shooter game released in 2021, developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It's the 18th installment in the Call of Duty series and is set during World War II. The game received mixed reviews, with praise for its campaign and multiplayer but criticism for its writing and lack of innovation. It features gameplay mechanics from previous titles, including mounting weapons, interactive elements, and takedowns. In the campaign, players can employ advanced tactics like blind firing, breaking destructible objects, and climbing walls to complete objectives. The multiplayer introduces the "Champion Hill" mode, a squad-based deathmatch tournament, and "Arms Race," a large-scale mode where teams compete to capture bases. A new feature, "Combat Pacing," allows players to choose game modes catering to different playstyles. Vanguard also integrates with Warzone, enabling progression and item usage across both titles and supports cross-platform play.
