Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is a 2022 action game by IllFonic based on the Ghostbusters franchise. It offers asymmetrical multiplayer gameplay where up to five players can participate in 4v1 matches. Players can choose to be Ghostbusters or ghosts. In the game, players create their own Ghostbuster avatars and use the Ghostbusters' headquarters as a hub to customize their appearance, assess items, and ghosts they've unlocked. Matches, referred to as "jobs," can be set in specific locations or chosen randomly. Players can select to play as a Ghostbuster or control a ghost, or opt for an AI-controlled ghost. The goal for each side is distinct: Ghosts aim to haunt a location and avoid capture, while Ghostbusters must trap the ghost before it fully haunts a place or close rifts to reduce the ghost's chance of success. If a ghost successfully haunts a location, a countdown timer starts, and the Ghostbusters must capture the ghost and close rifts before time runs out to win. Both sides earn experience points, unlocking new items and appearances for customization.
