Timberborn got Update 1.1 from the developers of the city-builder Mechanistry, with many improvements for both water management and the colonization process itself.

The new update brings new maps, a statistics tool, structures for managing water physics, new faction structures, and many more things that will help beavers to establish bigger colonies.

Improved Settlement Statistics

Timberborn got a new tool that will allow players to track their resources and colonists’ development.

Now there are adjustable graphs which show the growth and development of the settlement from district and overall levels.

New Watertight Structures to Build Up Colonies

Water management remains one of the main mechanics of Timberborn, and Update 1.1 brings some interesting structures which will help beavers to manage 3D water physics.

There are several new watertight structures including Airlock, Impermeable Power Shaft, Compact Mechanical Pump and the Impermeable Tubeway.

Impermeable Tubeway will allow the Iron Teeth faction to pass through Levee walls without making the spot where water could flow through.

New Structures

Combined with Dynamite, Fluid Dumps, Mechanical Fluid Pumps, and Dirt Excavators, beavers got a new set of tools for shaping their rivers and lands.

Two New Maps: Pillars And Nomads

Timberborn got two new maps which offer new challenges when creating colonies.

Pillars provides beavers with limited and fragmented space on its upper level where colonies need to survive and develop in a wasteland.

Nomads map is mostly focused on water flow cycles, which will change conditions all over the big arid map and require adaptations.

Tier 4 Monuments For Factions

Every faction gets a new Tier 4 monument.

Folktails get the Hall of Abundance, while Iron Teeth gets the Arch of Progress.

These structures will become another important milestone before the Wonders stage.

Additional Attractions for Factions

The new update also adds new faction-specific attractions.

So Folktails will be able to build Sauna and Domed Garden, while Iron Teeth settlements can construct Massager and Dance Pit.

These structures add diversity to each faction, which is presented by unique buildings, technologies, food chain, and final objective.

New Desert Plant

There is one more addition to the plant family – the Succulent, which grows on dry land.

The difference from most plants is that the plant accumulates water, which beavers could harvest.

It allows the beavers to keep themselves hydrated during hard times.

New Beaver Workwear

There are new visual designs for some professions:

  • Scavengers
  • Miners
  • Foresters
  • Gatherers
  • Lumberjacks

Timberborn Update 1.1 Is Out Now

With the help of Update 1.1 Mechanistry expanded many of the features that already exist in Timberborn instead of adding something completely new.

So now there is much more information for controlling the settlement, more tools for manipulating water and landscape, and new maps and structures for each faction.

Timberborn Update 1.1 is out now.
