New Missions and Objectives
Among other things, Devoid of Liberty brings several new objectives related to the threat. For instance, squads might be asked to destroy spires and gateways of the Illuminate, gather data through reconnaissance, and infiltrate enemy bases.
There are also new secondary objectives such as the elimination of the void mutation or the extraction of materials to study it.

New Mutated Creatures
In addition to that, the journey towards the Void involves meeting new mutated organisms.
For example, there is Wretch, an agile enemy who can overwhelm players easily and escape any attacks they make.

These allied soldiers can come in dropships and help players during the operation. For example, they can provide them with medical treatment through stims and also react to different player interactions like salutes, shakes, and hugs.
