Here is everything you need to know about today’s playtest weekend.

For this weekend’s playtest session, there is just one map that participants can explore. This is Đắk Tô Airfield, a brand new map inspired by the November 1967 battle. As opposed to the previous games in the franchise, this map takes the action away from the dense jungle foliage. Instead, teams will be challenged by the deadly open areas of a heavily-bombed airstrip.
With nothing but destroyed vehicles and impact craters for shelter, the sightlines will be so wide that only armor and recon will have the edge. So, if you plan on crossing to the other side, you better make sure to communicate and move tactically in your squad.
Along with the playtest, Expression Games has revealed "The Command Post Part 1," which is a developer Q&A where they share their ideas about the upcoming game.
The full version of the game will feature huge 50v50 battles that take place on six unique maps, each with a dramatic weather variant. Moreover, due to the change of setting, the developers added some completely new elements to the franchise, such as US aerial units, resourceful NVA units, and river-based battles involving heavily armed patrol boats.
Form your squad, scan your surroundings, and beware of sightlines - the airfield will be tough.
