Those who pre-order Modern Warfare 4 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Battle.net, Steam, and Xbox on PC will have the chance to play the Early Access between August 21 and August 25. Players who pre-order the game directly on the respective platform digital storefronts will automatically have access granted to them, whereas physical and retailer pre-orders will probably have the Early Access Beta code.
The Open Beta weekend for Modern Warfare 4 will then be accessible to all players between August 28 and September 1. There will be no need for a pre-order in order to join the Open Beta. However, players will now be able to play on the Nintendo Switch 2, as all of the announced platforms will be available to players during the Beta Weekend. The Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will start on August 26.
It has not been revealed what exact multiplayer maps, modes, weapons, or any other multiplayer content will be part of the Call of Duty beta test. More information about pre-loading will follow soon.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be released on October 23, 2026.
